The Small & Meeek

Opening night of Emily Wakeling's new art exhibition "The Small & Meeek" will feature sets by Marlinchen and local klezmer band Obligé. Musically and visually, a celebration of the secret world of girls. Starts early, 6pm, at Hands On Art, The Boardwalk (near the Boardwalk restaurants), South Bank Parklands. Friday September 1st. All ages, all free.

Anonymeye

It's been a while but Marlinchen will be playing Ric's again, after the sinister sounds of Anonymeye, on Wednesday August 23rd. Bands start around 9:30pm.

Juggler's Art Space

Come and squeeze yourself into Juggler's Art Space on August 16th to see Marlinchen play alongside Look!pond, Mt Augustus, Smile and Dick Desert. We will have the pleasure of having an accompanying interactive video work, "Hand Held", by Tim Plaisted, in what will hopefully be the first of many visual collaborations. Juggler's will also be host to many of Straight Out of Brisbane Festival's exhibiting artists. 103 Brunswick St, Bowen Hills/Fortitude Valley. Entry $5 and doors open 8pm.

Come see Marlinchen (sans keyboard, if you dare) at Fat Louie's Pool Hall this Friday, 124 Albert Street, CBD. Free, free, free.

Thanks to everyone who came along to Ric's to see the Marlinchen/Lawrence English/Rational Academy mix up. Next for us will be recording some tunes for an EP. Our next planned show will be as a feature in the annual Straight Out of Brisbane festival, August 16th at Jugglers Art Space.
